Measuring 90 x 160 cm, this beach towel offers plenty of space for lounging, drying off, or wrapping yourself in. The lightweight, absorbent 100% cotton muslin fabric feels comfortable against the skin and is ideal for use outdoors, at the water’s edge, or while traveling.

The Alpen bath towel was designed by Joel Adank and responsibly manufactured in Turkey. This pestemal combines a summery Swiss design with everyday practicality and is perfect for relaxing days by the water or in the mountains.

Soft muslin fabric

I decided against terry cloth or a fouta and opted for a Turkish towel (pestemal) because the fabric is very comfortable and provides a bit of cushioning, especially on wooden or concrete surfaces.

Convenient size: 90x160

Wide enough to lie on comfortably, short enough to fit on any beach chair. When folded, the towel fits neatly into any beach bag.

Lightweight & Absorbent

Muslin fabric is very lightweight, absorbs moisture well, and, most importantly, dries much faster than a terry cloth towel. That makes this bath towel the perfect summer companion.

The theme of rivers and summer at the pool

For this collection, I drew inspiration in particular from the iconic meandering courses of Switzerland’s (swimming) rivers and the classic things that define summer—a cool ice cream or a refreshing lemonade.
