Design from Zurich - made in Portugal
All cups were designed by Joel at the potter's wheel in his own studio in Zurich. We regularly travel with our prototypes to our partner manufacturers in Portugal, where the cups and mugs are produced in small batches - precisely, sustainably and with great attention to detail.
Mugs and cups for home baristas and coffee enthusiasts
As someone who looks forward to his first flat white in the morning, Joel knew that the perfect cup is more than just a vessel. After discussions with baristas, many test runs on his own La Marzocco machine and countless prototypes, a collection was created that makes the hearts of all coffee fans beat faster.
Barista cappuccino cup with 200 ml capacity for the perfect milk foam
Our Cappuccino / Flat White Cup holds 180-200ml and meets the standard of any good specialty coffee bar. The volume is important here: it ensures a balanced ratio between coffee and milk. Cups that are too large are often overfilled with milk, which means that the taste of the espresso is overshadowed or too much coffee has to be used. We particularly like to prepare a flat white with a double ristretto and 160 ml of finely frothed milk in this cup!
Barista espresso cup with 80 ml capacity and functional design
An espresso cup has to do more than just look good: It has to present espresso, ristretto, macchiato or cortado in the best possible light. The most important thing is that the espresso stays warm. This is ensured by a thick base and a small base area in the middle. This means that even a single ristretto stays nice and warm and the crema is not spread over too wide an area. Towards the top, our cup offers enough volume to add a shot of frothed milk.
