"Chimney Small" Vase, Striped Yellow

Add a touch of style to your home decor with this tubular vase in bold yellow with white stripes
The stripes are brushed on by hand with wax before the vase is dipped in engobe (underglaze). During the bisque firing, the wax melts, leaving the stripes behind; a transparent glaze is then applied over them during the second firing.
Industrial chimneys often stand as individual remnants from a bygone era in the urban landscape and have lost their original significance. Old industrial halls are being transformed into new, exciting cultural complexes. Joel was inspired by this ambiguity for the design of this vase: An originally functional form becomes a design element in a beautiful environment. This reinterpretation is emphasized with this vase by the flowers in the "chimney".
